Caregiving – a new documentary and national engagement campaign on the state and stakes of providing care in America.

Jessica Guthrie shares her nine-year journey as a full-time caregiver for her mother, Constance, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at 66. Through challenges and moments of joy, Jessica provides a heartfelt account of their experiences, emphasizing the importance of connection and resilience. Jessica offers insight into the emotional and practical realities of caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s, offering a beacon of hope and understanding to others in similar situations.

“I started sharing my story because I felt so alone, and I wanted to share so that all people, but especially young black women could see someone who was in it. They weren’t alone.”

Jessica Guthrie
