Rooted & Rising is a collective of inspiring Black creative entrepreneurs dedicated to sharing simple, actionable self-care ideas to motivate young Black men to live happier, healthier, longer lives.
As men, self-care has been taught to be an afterthought, especially in the black community. I am using my platform and voice to share what self-care looks like to me. I’m sharing in hopes to inspire other black men to explore self-care activities (not just physical) that help manage stressors and health.

Vaughn’s latest company, Unoma Haus was launched in September 2020 which designs and builds high-quality, solar-powered van conversions for people to rent and live in. The company’s focus is on community and building cities and hubs based on regenerative building, experiential living, and the human connection.
