World Vegan Day

November 1, 2030 All day

Mark your calendars for World Vegan Day on November 1st, a global celebration dedicated to highlighting the massive benefits of a plant-based lifestyle for animals, human health, and the planet. Established in 1994 by Louise Wallis—then chair of The Vegan Society in the UK—this day commemorates the 50th anniversary of the coining of the word “vegan” and the birth of the organized vegan movement. It is the perfect opportunity to explore compassionate living, whether you are a lifelong vegan or simply curious. You can easily recognize the day by challenging yourself to eat entirely plant-based meals, hosting a vibrant vegan potluck with friends, or sharing your favorite dairy-free recipes online to inspire others to make a positive impact!
