National Special Education Day

National Special Education Day is celebrated on December 2nd. It commemorates the anniversary of the signing of the Education for All Handicapped Children Act in 1975, which was later renamed the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). This day recognizes the importance of providing equal educational opportunities for students with disabilities and celebrating the progress made in special education.
