Join the Gordon Center for Performing Arts for an inspiring evening around MPT’s award-winning documentary Real Stories of Addiction and Hope. This powerful film takes an unflinching look at addiction and recovery, featuring real people sharing their journey with honesty and courage. 

This free event includes: 

  • Screening of Real Stories of Addiction and Hope
  • Q&A with Adam Oberfeld, director/producer
  • Panel discussion with individuals featured in the documentary 
  • Moderated conversation led by Michael Silberman, community leader, and advocate 

This evening aims to educate, inspire, and connect our community around addiction awareness and recovery resources.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

Addiction is a complex and often misunderstood condition. This gripping special provides raw, unfiltered access and first-person stories of how drug addiction manifests differently for different people. Each tells a story of loss, struggle, and the fight to reclaim control. Journey deep into the heart of addiction and learn how people found hope, healing, and recovery.

Real Stories of Addiction and Hope explores individuals’ lives through their most difficult moments. Find out how addiction changed and affected their lives and the lives of those around them, when they sought help, and how they’ve successfully remained in recovery.
