National Poison Prevention Week

March 21, 2027 March 28, 2027

In 1961, Congress created National Poison Prevention Week to increase knowledge about how to prevent and stop poisoning accidents. Communities and poison centers across the country host events every year to share the message.

The goal of National Poison Prevention Week is to teach about the risks of poisonings at any age and increase everyone’s involvement in poison prevention. It takes place every year in the third week of March.

Use our publicity materials and tips for how to organize events and share poison prevention messages during this week.
