National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) is a nationwide observance held every October to celebrate the contributions of people with disabilities to the workforce and to highlight the importance of inclusive, disability-friendly employment policies and practices. Each year, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) selects a theme to guide employers, advocates, and communities in their efforts to promote disability inclusion and support people with disabilities in achieving competitive, gainful employment.
