We invite you to join UCSF and By the Bay Health for a 30-minute private screening of excerpts from Actor/Director Bradley Cooper’s new PBS documentary, Caregiving, followed by a panel discussion with local family caregivers.

Through intimate footage and interviews, Caregiving – co-produced by Lea Pictures and WETA in Washington, DC in association with Ark Media – follows a diverse group of caregivers, sharing their personal stories of challenges and triumphs. Weaving in history and context, the documentary reveals the state of care in America and calls for transformation of our country’s caregiving system into one that works for all.

Following the film, By the Bay Health CEO Skelly Wingard will moderate a panel discussion featuring By the Bay Health Chief Medical Officer Dr. Claritza Rios and family caregivers from the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals, UCSF Brain Tumor Center Gordon Murray Caregiver Program, UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, UCSF MERI Center for Education in Palliative Care and By the Bay Health. Panelists will share their personal experiences, including the unique challenges they face, resources needed, and insights into how they can be better supported in our communities.

Caregiver support resources from community partners will also be available during the event.

This event is designed to celebrate and support all caregivers. By bringing caregivers across UCSF and the Bay Area together, we can provide a community support system to connect caregivers, staff, providers, and patients.

We welcome all caregivers, staff, providers, and patients to take part in this special evening.

Tickets required for this event. Please RSVP with the “Get Tickets” button.
