Text “Mind4Health” to 65664 – A Tool for Inclusive & Holistic American Indian and Alaska Native Youth

Presented by

American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) youth are strong and resilient. Health resources that improve their mental health and help-seeking skills are especially important, particularly those that include culturally-relevant teachings and relatable role models.

HealthyNativeYouth.org houses culturally responsive evidence-based curricula designed to celebrate American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) youth of all ages. The website is designed for educators, parents and caring adults who engage Native youth.

The site includes resources to help nurture mental health with AI/AN students.

A Text Message Service for Caring Adults

Mind4Health is a text message service for caring adults to help them nurture conversations that build mental health.  We’ll walk you through three steps to fill your mental health toolbox.  In the Respond phase, you’ll learn how to support youth with their mental health.  In the Heal and Grow phases, we’ll use our Indigenous lens to put things into context – sharing tips and tools to support your own mental health.

To join, text “Mind4Health” to 65664

Messages include skill-building videos and links to help caring adults talk with youth about mental health. Throughout the text messaging series, we’ll share inspirational messages from Indigenous relatives, so you know you’re not alone.
