SUMMARY:Mental Health Day of Action: Advocate Pep Rally
DESCRIPTION:Learn more about the Mental Health Day of Action \n\n\n\nJoin MHA’s Policy and Advocacy team for a virtual pep rally on Tuesday\, May 5\, from 4-5 p.m. ET to learn how you can help urge Congress to expand access to prevention and early mental health intervention this Mental Health Month! \n\n\n\nEarly intervention and prevention are critical for addressing youth mental health\, but right now\, many young people can’t access support until their symptoms become severe. That’s why Mental Health America is urging Congress to co-sponsor and pass the EARLY Minds Act. This legislation would give states the flexibility to use a small portion of Mental Health Block Grant funding for early support\, like screening\, outreach\, and peer services. \n\n\n\nOn this call\, MHA will provide information on the EARLY Minds Act\, share tips to successfully engage with Congressional offices\, and cover ways to participate in the 2026 Mental Health Day of Action on Friday\, May 15\, 2026. \n\n\n\nWe welcome anyone who is passionate about young people’s mental health to join us for the pep rally on May 5 and the Mental Health Day of Action on May 15.

SUMMARY:Toolkit for Law Enforcement and EMS When Called to a Long-Term Care Facility
DESCRIPTION:Across the country\, Law Enforcement (LE) and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) are called to nursing homes and other long-term care facilities for help.
