DESCRIPTION:National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) is a nationwide observance held every October to celebrate the contributions of people with disabilities to the workforce and to highlight the importance of inclusive\, disability-friendly employment policies and practices. Each year\, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) selects a theme to guide employers\, advocates\, and communities in their efforts to promote disability inclusion and support people with disabilities in achieving competitive\, gainful employment.
