SUMMARY:Hollywood Climate Summit
DESCRIPTION:Hollywood Climate Summit is an annual conference and year-round community that’s building a collective strategy for thousands of entertainment and media professionals to take action on climate. \n\n\n\nWith 300+ partners\, we facilitate connections between climate leaders and the media sector\, including film\, television\, gaming\, social media\, streaming\, marketing\, and sports.  \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nHaving engaged more than 40K professionals and 7K companies across 65 countries\, HCS has grown into one of the entertainment industry’s most influential platforms for climate advocacy through culture change. \n\n\n\nHCS is housed under our new nonprofit\, Context Collaborative\, which directs cultural attention to climate issues\, leveling up how they resonate across the stories\, platforms\, and experiences people love.

SUMMARY:Toolkit for Law Enforcement and EMS When Called to a Long-Term Care Facility
DESCRIPTION:Across the country\, Law Enforcement (LE) and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) are called to nursing homes and other long-term care facilities for help. At times\, they are confronted with situations in facilities for which they have not been prepared. Other times\, they may see conditions in a long-term care facility they find concerning. The result can lead to a tenuous response\, sometimes with uncertainty as to what they should do. The National Consumer Voice for Quality Long-Term Care (Consumer Voice)\, in partnership with the Department of Justice (DOJ)\, developed a series of short\, engaging educational videos and resource materials informing and educating first responders about considerations when called to a long-term care facility and resources for where to turn if they have questions or concerns about what they see.  Join this webinar for a preview of these new resource videos and a discussion for how they may be used to educate and support first responders about issues experienced in Long-Term Care.  \n\n\n\nAgency: Department of Justice in Partnership with the National Consumer Voice \n\n\n\nPresenters:  \n\n\n\n\nLori Smetanka\, Executive Director\, National Consumer Voice for Quality Long-Term Care\n\n\n\nSusan Lynch\, Senior Counsel for Elder Justice\, U.S. Department of Justice\, where she leads the Department’s National Nursing Home Initiative. \n\n\n\n\nLink to Join \n\n\n\nElder Justice Awareness Month Webinar Series \n\n\n\nIn recognition of Elder Justice Awareness Month\, the Elder Justice Coordinating Council (EJCC) is hosting a national webinar series to raise awareness\, strengthen prevention efforts\, and advance coordinated responses to elder abuse\, neglect\, and exploitation. The series will explore the evolving landscape of fraud and scams\, provide guidance on recognizing warning signs and protecting oneself\, and highlight community- and facility-based resources available to support individuals who have experienced maltreatment. \n\n\n\nThe series underscores the importance of cross-sector collaboration in protecting older adults. Sessions will feature subject matter experts\, older adults\, and advocates discussing topics such as identifying signs of abuse\, supporting victims and caregivers\, and utilizing federal and state resources. This initiative reflects the EJCC’s ongoing commitment to ensuring that all older adults can live with dignity\, independence\, and security in their communities.
